“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!” Revelation 5:13
Services During the Church Year: We offer many seasonal services throughout the year, including Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Maundy Thursday. Some of our Sunday worship services during the year provide special worship music and performances. These include “Kirkin’ of the Tartans”, celebrating our Scottish heritage, our annual Christmas Cantata, and Children’s Musicals. We also invite guest soloists and choirs to come and help lead in worship.
Services of Baptism: As in all Christian churches, the sacrament of Baptism is offered for any and all who wish to join the Body of Christ. We offer baptisms for infants and for adults. We also recognize and affirm baptisms from all other Christian denominations. We believe that Baptism is God’s gift of grace and also God’s summons to respond to that grace. Baptisms are typically performed as part of our Sunday worship service, and require the approval of our Session.
Funerals and Memorial Services: Our staff is on hand to provide assistance to bereaved families planning meaningful Memorial Services for loved ones, including the use of our Gathering Area or Fellowship Hall for visitations or receptions. If an outside minister is requested, we require that he or she be formally invited by our Pastor. Our beautifully landscaped Memorial Garden, located off the West Parking Lot, is available for the scattering of cremated remains.
Wedding Services: At this time, use of the church campus for weddings is reserved for members, their families, and staff. Marriage is a gift from God and a civil contract, “Marriage is a gift God has given to all humankind for the well-being of the entire human family. Marriage involves a unique commitment between two people, traditionally a man and a woman, to love and support each other for the rest of their lives. The sacrificial love that unites the couple sustains them as faithful and responsible members of the church and the wider community.” (Book of Order, W-4.9001)
