Holy Week and Easter

Sunday, April 9: Palm Sunday

Begin Holy Week with a procession into Jerusalem. The Sanctuary Choir, Renaissance Ringers, and the Joyful Noize Choir will help lead worship. An Easter Egg hunt for children and youth will follow worship. Worship begins at 10:00 a.m.

 Thursday, April 13: Maundy Thursday

The early church gathered around a meal for worship just like the disciples did with Jesus on Maundy Thursday. We will incorporate prayers, the Sanctuary Choir, scripture, and other liturgical elements into a shared meal together at 6:30 p.m. in Fellowship Hall.

 Friday, April 14: Good Friday

The Middletown Area Ministerial Alliance is having a “Seven Last Words of Christ” service, hosted at Second Baptist Church (116 S. Verity Parkway) at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Michael is preaching on the last word “Today, you will be with me in paradise.”

 Easter Sunday, April 16

Christ has risen! Christ has risen, indeed! Alleluia! A brass quartet will join us for our worship as we gather on this day of resurrection. Worship begins at 10:00 a.m.

Sunday, April 23: Gospel Pianist Timothy Noble

On the second Sunday of Easter join us at 10:00 a.m. as Gospel Pianist Timothy Noble will blend his program “Morning Has Come” into our worship service. Stay around after worship to talk with Timothy about his faith and music.
