The Middletown Ministerial Alliance is hosting an MLK Service at Central Connections (formerly The Senior Center). The event has been rescheduled for Sunday, January 27th at 4:00 p.m. The theme this year is "Faith-based Responses to Hate." There will be a panel with representatives from Christian, Jewish, and Islamic traditions.
Community conversation with Donna Heckler
Donna wrote "Living Like a Lady When You Have Cancer" in hopes that others could live radiantly, despite their cancer journey. The beauty of Donna's story is that she had to be prodded to her understanding pf God's role in her life. Her ever present optimism and sense of humor are sprinkled throughout, making it a compelling and inspirational talk that is sure to touch the lives and hearts of everyone.
No reservations necessary. Light refreshments will be served.
2019 is our Bicentennial Year
2019 is looking to be an exciting year as we celebrate the 200th Anniversary of First Church. We have a team planning all sorts of different ways to celebrates. If you have any ideas, please share them with Bill Bursk. Throughout the year, you’ll discover lots of interesting historical tidbits and other fascinating facts relating to our history. Look for Bicentennial Bits in your weekly bulletin beginning January 6.
