Sacred Stories and Supper

Join us for Summer Suppers and Sacred Stories. In a similar style to the early church, worship will take place at the table as we enjoy dinner together from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Following Dinner Church, Michael will lead a bible study for adults while the Christian Education Team shares a sacred story and activities for children and youth. The theme for this series will explore some of the meals found in the gospel of Luke.  Mark your calendar for 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on July 10, 17, 24, and 31.

Bicentennial Celebration

We are celebrating our bicentennial in worship at 10:00 a.m. on June 9. We would be honored if you were willing to join us for this festive day. The service will include a choral anthem commissioned for the occasion by Joseph Martin, a renewal of baptismal vows, and questions for the church of Jesus Christ today as we embrace a new era of ministry. Join us for Lenten Luncheons!

Every year we are eager to invite faith leaders throughout our community to reflect on a common theme as we prepare for Easter. This year's theme is: Ordinary. We have asked our speakers to share a story when they experienced God in something ordinary.

March 13: Lisa Kaufer, First Presbyterian Church

March 20: Wes Duff, Breiel Church of God

March 27: Michelle Terry, Bethlehem Lutheran Church

April 3: Terry Kukuk, Presbytery of the Miami Valley

April 10: Mark Monroe, Second Baptist Church

Lunch begins at noon and we generally end around 12:45. Stay afterwards for a conversation on the book Liturgy of the Ordinary by Tish Harrison Warren.

Ash Wednesday: March 6 at 6:00 p.m.

Our Ash Wednesday Service will be held in Fellowship Hall with a light supper and the creation of a Lent-in-a-Box at 6:00 p.m. A service with imposition of ashes will be at 6:30 p.m. with music by Joyful Noize.

Lent in a Box is a set of devotional materials to help God’s children of all ages prepare for the great mystery of Easter. Assemble your set of materials during the Ash Wednesday service on March 6.
